“Measuring the Good” – recruiting new volunteers across the UK

measuring-the-good-logoThe Measuring the Good programme, for which I am a volunteer, is expanding with increasing numbers of small organisations asking for support. The programme is, therefore, looking to recruit new volunteers across the UK.

In summary, they are looking for volunteers who meet the following criteria:

  • Leadership experience in middle or senior management
  • Experience of working in diverse environments
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience of facilitating meetings and workshops
  • Coaching and mentoring skills and experience
  • Being a strategic thinker
  • Experience of developing and using metrics and key performance indicators
  • Digital and data literacy
  • Humility, openness, empathy and commitment to the ethos and values of the social sector

The time commitment, on average, is 20 hours over 2-4 months followed by a further check-in with the organisation after several months. There is interest from third sector organisations across the UK, so MtG is seeking to build an equally diverse volunteer community. You can find out more about Measuring the Good, here.
