Pro Bono OR at the first Data4Good Conference

I facilitated a workshop session on behalf of the OR Society’s Pro Bono project during the Data4Good Conference on 14th November. We were joined by the Royal Statistical Society who also have a pro bono scheme: Statisticians for Society.

Our workshop slides are here:

Data4Good Conference 2018The first ever UK Data4Good conference brought together non-profit leaders to inspire and build confidence in the possibilities of data. The conference connected leaders and practitioners to explore how non-profits are adapting and excelling in an increasingly data-driven world.

It showcased those at the forefront, harnessing data to design more effective and efficient services, achieve better outcomes, and deliver greater impact. We also heard how data is informing and transforming funders’ policies and grant-making practices.

The full programme is here. If you’re on Twitter, check out the Conference Hashtag #D4GConf18.
