Control Charts: use and benefits. Presentation to the OR Society Criminal Justice SIG 2017

Here’s my presentation to the ORS CJ SIG (23/2/17) on the use and benefits of Control Charts in the Criminal Justice Sector.

SPC Charts were key tools for me early in my career when I was working in manufacturing but they are equally applicable in a service sector environment. If you have time series data from a process, then it’s worth looking at Control Charts to help understand where there is Common Cause and Special Cause variation happening.
