OR Society Spring 2016 meeting of the Criminal Justice Special Interest Group

OR Society logoOur Spring meeting will be held at W.Yorkshire Police HQ on March 9th from 11am to
approx 3.30pm.

We are delighted that the following speakers have kindly agreed to present to us:

Simon Pegg (Holleth Ltd) on a recent project with a Police Commissioner’s office helping them to model demand and capacity for the provision of Victim Support services;
Hanjing Zhang (Loughborough University) on her research into optimising staff rosters for a local police force;
Ross Ritchie (Loughborough University) on police decision making (including the use of cognitive/causal mapping);
Toby Davies (UCL) on the incorporation of street network structures in the prediction of urban crime; and
Sion Cave (Decision Analysis Services Ltd) on strategic workforce modelling.

As usual the meeting will be free of charge but please bring your own sandwiches for lunch.
