Consultant-speak, again!

Reach_outApparently, somebody wants to “reach out to me”.  Their e-mail conjures up images of Titanic the movie and people in the water grasping to be saved.

I’ve written before about Management-speak, but I probably should have attributed it to consultants as the primary source of this nonsense.

Thankfully, my correspondent didn’t offer to “socialise a deck”, or invite me to an “onboarding session”.  I decided the e-mail wasn’t “in my space”, but it gave me an opportunity to write this blog post!

  1. A colleague of mine used “think outside the box” in a serious email this week.
