I was asked by a client this week how to go about developing a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for a specific team. I’ve written numerous blog posts about performance measurement and there are several relevant articles in the Shared Knowledge areas of my Blog.
My advice is: “Decide what you’re trying to achieve, then decide what you need to measure”. Don’t start by dreaming up a list of everything you could measure.
