There are four roles that every Programme and Project Office (PPO) need to perform if they are to add value to their host organisation…

  • Facilitate the successful achievement of current “big ticket” programmes/projects
  • Communicate plans and progress of programmes/projects
  • Help the organisation build capacity to manage programmes/projects
  • Continuously improve the way the organisation manages programmes/projects

Too many PPOs spend their time tracking and reporting progress and are seen as non-value-adding “project police”!
